Thank you for considering renting a tail extension from Fairytail Tail Extensions.  Please read the following to familiarize yourself with our policies when it comes to a tail extension rental from us. 

 

OUR GUARANTEE

We guarantee you will receive the tail selected at checkout. If the tail you receive is not the tail you ordered and cannot be used, you will be refunded in full including round trip shipping. We will make every effort to get you the correct tail in time for your event. 

Your tail will arrive clean and ready to use and be in good useable condition. It will arrive in a protective cover and we ask that you keep it inside the cover when not in use. 

We provide multiple photographs of the tail colors to ensure the best match possible but cannot guarantee a color match with your horse. We ask that you please measure your horse from the middle of the tailbone to where you want the end of the tail. This will be the correct length you need.  Our tails are adjustable up or down to allow for some wiggle room but you should never hang the tail below the tailbone. If the tail ordered is not a good color match or the wrong length was chosen and cannot be used, you will be refunded for the rental when the tail is received back and you are only responsible for round trip shipping. 

 

DAMAGE

CUTTING, TRIMMING, DYEING, APPLYING DAMAGING CHEMICALS OR ALTERING IN ANY WAY OF OUR TAILS IS NOT PERMITTED AND CUSTOMER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RETAIL VALUE OF THE TAIL IN THESE CASES. WE KNOW OUR TAILS ARE GOING TO ENDURE CUSTOMARY WEAR AND TEAR. WE EXPECT YOU TO CARE FOR OUR TAILS AS IF THEY ARE YOUR OWN. EXPECTED WEAR INCLUDES DUST, DIRT, LOSS OF GROMMETS, LOOSENING OF THE TOP ATTACHMENT SEAMS, AND SLIGHT SHEDDING OF PIECES OF HAIR.  THIS IS EXPECTED AND THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE FOR CUSTOMARY WEAR AND TEAR. CUSTOMERS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO THE TAIL.  DAMAGE IS NOT LIMITED TO, BUT INCLUDES, LOSS OF SUBSTANTIAL HAIR (UNLESS DUE TO DEFECTIVE TAIL), MATTED HAIR, RIPPED OR RUINED TOP ATTACHMENTS FROM CARELESSNESS, DYEING OF HAIR, CUTTING OF ANY PART OF THE TAIL, CHECMICAL DAMAGE, AND THE LIKE.  MINOR DAMAGE BEYOND CUSTOMARY WEAR AND TEAR THAT CAN BE REPAIRED, WILL BE DONE AT THE CUSTOMER'S EXPENSE.

LOSS OR THEFT

FAILURE TO RETURN THE TAIL WITHIN 7 DAYS OF YOUR RENTAL END DATE WILL BE CONSIDERED A LOST TAIL AND THE CUSTOMER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL RETAIL VALUE OF THE TAIL. THEFT OF THE TAIL WHILE IN CUSTOMER'S POSSESSION WILL BE DEEMED TO BE THE FAULT OF THE CUSTOMER AND THE CUSTOMER AGREES TO PAY FOR THE FULL RETAIL VALUE OF THE TAIL.  

LATE FEES

TAILS MUST BE SHIPPED BACK WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER THE END DATE OF THE RENTAL PERIOD. LATE FEES WILL APPLY DAILY AFTER THIS TIME UNTIL THE TAIL IS SHIPPED. THE WEEKLY RENTAL RATE WILL BE PRORATED TO DETERMINE THE DAILY LATE FEE. 

SHIPPING

WE ARE HAPPY TO SHIP TAILS DIRECTLY TO YOUR HOME, HOTEL, OR EVENT BUT BE SURE TO PROVIDE THE CORRECT SHIPPING INFORMATION OR EMAIL US WITH INSTRUCTIONS WITHIN 4 HOURS OF PLACING YOUR ORDER. 

ROUND TRIP STANDARD SHIPPING IS $20.00. A PREPAID SHIPPING LABEL WILL BE SENT WITH YOUR PACKAGE.  PLEASE REUSE THE BOX IT ARRIVED IN AND AFFIX THE RETURN LABEL OVER THE ORIGINAL.  IF YOU LOSE THE RETURN LABEL, PLEASE CONTACT US TO PROVIDE A NEW ONE VIA EMAIL.  YOU MUST USE THE PREPAID LABEL FOR RETURNING SO THE TAIL CAN BE TRACKED.  IF CUSTOMER FAILS TO USE THE PREPAID SHIPPING LABEL AND THE TAIL IS LOST IN RETURN SHIPPING, THE CUSTOMER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL RETAIL VALUE OF THE TAIL.

TIMELY TAIL DELIVERY CANNOT BE GUARANTEED IF NOT ORDERED AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE OF YOUR EVENT.  WE DO OFFER EXPEDITED SHIPPING FOR A FEE BUT WILL NOT GUARANTEE TIMELY DELIVERY IN THAT CASE.
